Other than the time she tried to stop Nova from getting shot, I think this is the first time we’ve gotten to really see Kayli’s softer side. Now that she’s not having to put on a display (or, given the culture, a mask) of a confident leader for the others, it looks to me like she’s just as tired of this chase as everyone else in her party (or at least like she’s beginning to doubt her conviction to keep going).
