I wonder, is that a katana, saber, scimitar or something else entirely? I need to brush up on the various classes of swords 🙂

Does it says something about Kayli, or about her identity as death, that she has an actual ‘clear pool’ right there in front of her and she uses her sword as a mirror instead? Or maybe it’s just that the sword is a more consistent surface than water and makes for a better mirror. And on that subject, that’s a beautifully drawn reflection in the third panel. I wonder if we’ll get to learn more about the person or persons that wrote The Book of the Comforter? They certainly seem like an interesting sort…
