It does change your life, your priorities, when you contemplate your own mortality…. When the Dr. Tells you, “Oh, no, we know it’s not benign. It’s malignant,” your perspective is suddenly very different on; taking cell phone calls, responding to texts, speeding while driving, being polite, being generous, being nice to other people,… Things that were not important before– are suddenly very important, and things that were so looming so urgently important — seem vacuous and pointless.
